Students in grades K-12 enter their prose and poetry in this annual writing competition, judged by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga English Department. The AEC receives over 4,500 entries from Chattanooga and surrounding areas each year. Entries are due in December.

2010 Winners will be announced in early March. The awards ceremony will be Tuesday, March 30, at the Tivoli Theatre.
