Meet the Filmmaker of THAT EVENING SUN on March 5

The AEC Independent Film Series and AFFT present the Chattanooga Premiere of
THAT EVENING SUN

with special guest
Executive Producer LARSEN JAY

Friday March 5
7:00 PM
Majestic Theatre

Immediately following the 7:00 show, Mr. Jay will lead a discussion on the viability of the filmmaking industry in Tennessee and take audience questions.

ABOUT THE FILM
THAT EVENING SUN tells the story of elderly Abner Meecham (played by Hal Holbrook), who flees a nursing home and returns to his Tennessee farm, which he discovers his son has leased to an old foe. A "ruthless grudge match" ensues.  Shot entirely in the Knoxville area, the film is based on a short story by Tennessee  author William Gay.  It premiered at South by Southwest and has been praised for its authentic portrayal of southern living.  Filmmakers hope that audiences in Tennessee will feel a connection to the film and identify with the characters and the scenery.

THAT EVENING SUN is showing as part of the AEC's Spring Independent Film Series from March 5-11.
