War Dance

War DanceThe war stole everything, except their music. Three children living in a displacement camp in Northern Uganda compete in their country's national music and dance festival. This documentary is set amidst the violence of the Lord’s Resistance Army (L.R.A.), who kidnaps sleeping children and forces them into rebellion and murder. Despite the horror, War Dance has captured a beautiful story about the epic, unbreakable spirits of these children and their dream of musical expression. Nominated for an Academy Award (Best Documentary Feature), with another six wins and one nomination.
