A. Not only may you attend, but we are certain you will enjoy it! This Festival is for writers of all genres and levels, as well as readers and anyone who admires, appreciates and wants to learn more about the creative process of the written word.

A. All Festival materials will be ready for you to pick up at the registration table. Registration opens at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Sheraton Read House, and at 8 a.m. at the University Center on Saturday. Your registration badge will be your pass to all Festival events.

A. We do not formally accept manuscript submisisons at the Festival, but you are welcome to bring your work. There will be opportunities for networking with other readers, writers and writing professionals.
Q. Do I have to pre-register for specific workshops on Saturday?
A. No, we do not ask you to pre-select the workshops you plan to attend. Seating is handled on a first-come first served basis but there will be plenty of room to accommodate attendees in each workshop.

Q. Where should I stay during my visit to Chattanooga?
A. Whether you're looking for elegance or traveling on a budget, Chattanooga has it all. A directory of hotels including the Sheraton Read House and those within walking distance is available on the Chattanooga Visitor's Bureau website.
Q. Where should I park?
A. For Friday night's event, you will find ample parking within walking distance to the Sheraton Read House at parking meters (no need to pay after 5 PM) or in paid lots and garages. A great option to consider is CARTA—Chattanooga’s free downtown shuttle that runs from the Tennessee Aquarium to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. This service is available until 9 PM.
For Saturday events at UT-Chattanooga, free parking is available on campus. You may park in Lot 10 (between Holt Hall and Grote Hall, or in the library parking garage on Vine Street. There is also parking in the 5th Street Garage (fees may apply here only) or on 5th Street. See the campus parking map.
