| BARRY HANNAH has written several books, including High Lonesome, which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. Other awards include a Guffenheim Fellowship, the Award in Fiction from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the 1999 Robert Penn Warren Prize for Fiction. Mr. Hannah will participate in the panel discussion, "The Portrayal of Women in Southern Literature," on Friday, April 16, at 9:00 am in the UTC Fine Arts Center. |
