GEORGE GARRETT is Henry Hoyns Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Virginia. His works include The Reverend Ghost, The Sleeping Gypsy and Other Poems, The Succession, Days of Our Lives Lie in Fragments and Bad Man Blues. Honors are the Prix de Rome, the T.S. Eliot Award of the Ingersoll Foundation and the PEN/Malamud Award for short fiction.
