The Arts & Education Council is pleased to announce a new celebration of writing!

The Chattanooga Festival of Writers will take place at the Sheraton Read House hotel in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee, on March 31 and April 1, 2006. Writers and readers are invited to celebrate the craft of writing, reading, storytelling, and listening.

Enjoy dinner with keynote speaker Elizabeth Kostova on Friday evening, and then choose from a selection of writing workshops on Saturday. A special luncheon with entertainment by Clyde Edgerton and Philip Gerard will conclude the event.

Writers will also work with Hamilton County public schools through Classroom Residencies and a Creative Writing Workshop for teachers.
