The Arts & Education Council Chattanooga Conference on
Southern Literature offers book lovers the opportunity to hear authors
deliver lectures, read their works, and take part in panel discussions.
While the speakers are first-rate and their topics lofty, there is no
dearth of snappy repartee, good humor, and an air of conviviality marks
the proceedings. Conference-goers have the chance to meet their literary
idols, talk with them, and take home a cherished signature. The success of
the Arts & Education Council Chattanooga Conference on Southern
Literature led the Fellowship of Southern Writers to make its headquarters
in Chattanooga, hold its biennial meetings in conjunction with the
Conference, and locate the Fellowship archives in the Lupton Library of
the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The Arts & Education
Council Board of Directors and the Conference planning committee invite
you to join them in discovering and celebrating "What is
Southern" at this year's festival. |
